BERTALL ,(Paris 1820 -1882 Soyons), est un caricaturiste, illustrateur, collaborateur de nombreux journaux, écrivain, graveur prolifique et pionnier de la photographie. Bertall est l'anagramme de son prénom "Albert". Il doit l'ajout du second "L" à Balzac dont il illustra quelques ouvrages : Les Petites misères de la vie conjugale, Les Types de la comédie humaine.
