Die Karte verso handschriftlich in blauer Tinte beschrieben (wohl mit einem Entwurf für ein Telegramm), an «Paul Éluard / 35 rue de la Chapelle / Paris» adressiert und gezeichnet von «Titie[?] et André Thirifays», mit der 5-zeiligen Nachricht: «Venons seulement apprendre triste nouvelle sommes très affectés voudrions pouvoir te donner par notre amitié et affection courage supporter cette grande peine» (sich wohl auf den Hinschied von Nusch Éluard am 28. November 1946 beziehend).
