Georges de Bruxelles, whose life is entirely unknown to us, did not publish his lectures himself; after his death, they were published by Thomas Bricot, his student. Born in Amiens sometime in the 15th century and died in Paris in 1516, Bricot was one of the last masters of scholastic philosophy. This presentation of Aristotle's writings helped to separate philosophy from theology, and thus ultimately set physics on the path toward modern science.
