    Hardcover. Condition: Good. Original full calf binding with raised bands on the spine. No lettering visible on binding, though some embossing and traces of gilt decoration present. Front board is completely separated from binding and text block, and spine shows heavy cracking. Both boards are scuffed. Text block is in very good condition, solid and tight. The page ends are marbled, but faded. There is foxing primarily at the edges of pages, and on the endpapers. Light notation in ink and pencil on title page, and a few other stray marks. Thomas Comber (1645-1699) was an English churchman, and Dean of Durham. His works are generally concerned with Protestant liturgy and dedicated to Church of England and the Protestant cause. He wrote a number of anti-Catholic works, and pamphlets in support of the Glorious Revolution of 1688 and in defense of the government. Hardcover, good condition. 489 pages plus tables, 12mo.

Spine is chipping and part of title label has gone. Holding mainly by cords, but book is reasonably firm. Water stain in gutter affecting several pages, but contents are otherwise clean. Good plus.
