Only 2 located in OCLC, the Sixth edition and Eighth edition, both at the British Library Reference Collections. Sixty songs, musical scores with words, were selected for early childhood instruction for the ages of 3-7 years. Many of the included songs are nursery rhymes familiar to this age group, even in the 21st century. In the preface, the author argues that children "cannot attain to any healthy moral development if they are fed upon facts alone," and teaching children nursery rhymes encourages imagination.
