Bunyan's most famous work, commonly regarded as one of the most significant works of Protestant devotional literature and of wider early modern English literature. Includes "The Life of John Bunyan", preceding the text. Leather binding is quite worn, boards are nearly detached; text has some light age-toning, minor marks. Book.

There are gilt page edges all round.This copy is bright, tight, white and square. A dust wrapper is not called for. There is a fine copperplate gift inscription to the f.f.e.p. " A present from the Bishop of Llandaff to Miss Snell in acknowledgement of her kind attention and faithful services in the Girls School. Front board is detached, rest of binding is intact, boards lightly rubbed and marked, edges marbled, top edge lightly foxed, lovely clean marbled endpapers, ink inscription to first prelim, some lightly foxing to some pages and lovely engraved plates throughout. Would be Very good if the front board wasn't separated. Good only. Book.
