NO inscriptions. Strangely the contents at rear of vol II, the last page lists The Brunswick Asylum Magazine and the sailor's Steam ship and lists the contents which are not bound in this book, not sure if a mistake or why this seems to be the only copy? The title page at front ONLY states "The Soldier's and new sailor's magazine and naval chronicle" but New Sailor's has been crossed out as it was a printing mistake or changed title. The monthly issues are titled The Soldier's Magazine and Military Chronicle). Title page also states Published Under The Patronage of the British and Foreign Seaman's and Soldier's Society and Mariners' Church and Waterman's Bethel Union. Conducted by the late editor of the Sailors Magazine. and sold by W. K. Wakefield and others. contains lots of details inc. a breakdown of the costs of the Army, The Red sea & River Jorden, Banks of the Ganges, the shot Cadet, Fifer and his Bible, Excesses of the armies of South America, various items about Napoleon, soldiers at Cape Town in 1812, father and son before battle, General Washington of America and lots more. NO named Author but "conducted by the late editor of the sailor's magazine." which has an address from Tom Starboard , and therefore overtly theological, This is a book of the magazines, not bound individual magazines. At time of listing could not find another copy for sale. The National Army Museum does not have a copy and could not find any reference & is not listed in Frederick Lake's unpublished thesis on Regimental journals and other serial publications 1660-1981.
