Fred Bailey Thompson is a storyteller who worked in the circus for years before sustaining heavy injury in the Hagenbeck & Wallace train wreck. He took to storytelling while convalescing in the hospital. He also served as the Georgia Division Director in the 60?s. This are true accounts of circus life taken from Fred?s long experience. Before retiring from circus life as a result of injuries received in the disastrous Hagenbeck & Wallace train wreck, Thompson traveled the country as a press agent with Rose Killian's Circus, Barnum & Bailey, and a variety of other shows. This copy is inscribed and dated by "Uncle Fred" on the front flyleaf. Original red cloth binding, with black titles. Some mild rubbing and edgewear to the dust jacket; otherwise very good.
