With a neat inscription to the recto of front endpaper addressed to one Kurt Michalski from the German reform educator and Director of the Werner-Siemens-Realgymnasium, Wilhelm Wetekamp. The School's stamp is below the inscription which is dated 1918. Wilhelm Wetekamp was not only known for his educational reform and advocacy of the self-drive of students, but he was also a pioneer of nature conservation in Prussia. Kurt Michalski's bookplate is to the front pastedown. Collated, complete, with all 45 coloured plates and the two folding maps to the rear. In the original velvet cloth binding. In the original full velvet cloth binding. Externally, excellent with little to no shelfwear. Bookplate to front pastedown for one Kurt Michalski, to whom a gift inscription is written at the recto of front endpaper.
