    No Binding. Condition: As Described. No Jacket. Tho's. [Thomas] Jefferys (illustrator). Antique copperplate 'A New Map of England and Wales' by Tho's [Thomas] Jefferys, Geographer to his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales' from a copy of The Gentleman's Magazine and Historical Chronicle, Volume XXVII, December 1757 London: Printed for D Henry & R Cave Measures around 15 3/4" x 18 5/8" (400mm x 472mm). Contains decorative cartouche, explanation of roads, cities, etc and scale in English miles. The map contains one central vertical fold and four horizontal. There are a number of tears on the ends of the horizontal folds and to the left- and right-hand edges. Also some tearing to bottom edge of the map, where there is chipping, loss to the margin and a little loss at the bottom left-hand corner. A couple of small holes in lower central area where horiztonal and vertical folds meet. Some creasing. Light marking, with some text offsetting to rear, but generally clean and in reasonably good condition condition for its age. See pictures for further information. n.

There is a small tear on the right edge and another on the left edge. A crease to the bottom right-hand corner. Some light marking but very clean and in excellent condition condition for its age.
