The book is in good condition for its age, with a maroon cloth cover showing some wear along the edges and corners. The spine and binding are intact, although there is noticeable wear and slight fraying at the top and bottom. The pages are slightly yellowed, consistent with a publication from 1945, but remain legible and intact. There is no dust jacket present.

Leather edgeworn, spine concave with text block pull at crown, several pages torn; binding firm interior unmarked. 2263pp inc Index; illustrated in tables, charts, graphs, numerous drawings. Front endpaper bears the owner name and inscription "EL Vado Dam, 1934". El Vado Dam in northern New Mexico was a large project by the Conservancy District in 1933-1935; presumably this book belonged to an engineer who worked on the mammoth project. Very serviceable copy. Book.
