Light foxing and moderate tanning to pages, pastedowns, free endpapers and text block edges. Light cracking to gutters but binding remains firm. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild bubbling, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a very slight forward lean.

Volumes 2 and 4 have been repaired with bookbinder's tape to hold the pages in. The hinges of Volumes 3 and 5 are starting to crack. The insides of the boards of Volumes 2, 4, 7, and 8 are stained. A few pages here and there may have a soil spot or two but the insides of these books are generally remarkably clean. This set looks nice sitting on a shelf, and of course is great to read if you like 100-year-old mysteries. Christie, Chesterton, Dumas, and Doyle are among the authors. Volume 10 contains a full index for all volumes. Each volume is about 200 pages. 10 vol. (76637).
