Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Embark on an extraordinary journey through early 20th-century Africa with Jean Tilho's compelling travelogue, "The exploration of Tibesti, Erdi, Borkou, and Ennedi in 1912-1917." This meticulously documented account details the author's ambitious mission, entrusted by the French Institute, to chart and understand the vast, often formidable, landscapes of what is now Chad. His firsthand narrative offers an unparalleled look into these then-unexplored territories, capturing the spirit of grand discovery during a pivotal era. As a detailed description of travel, the book provides invaluable insights into the geography, the natural world, and the intrepid spirit required to traverse such demanding terrain. "The exploration of Tibesti, Erdi, Borkou, and Ennedi in 1912-1917" stands as a foundational text in the history of African exploration and a testament to the enduring human desire for discovery. Couverture souple. Condition: Bon. Edition originale.
