In 8° quadrotto (cm 24,3x19,4), pp. 213 con 20 ORIGINALISSIME TAVOLE in forti contorni neri su bianco di netto gusto déco disegnate da uno spassoso E. TODDI. Prima ediz. Testo entro filetto rosso. Tela rossa edit. con una bella illustrazione a tonalità verdi applicata al piatto. Cerniere interne allentate, fessura alla cerniera posteriore esterna. GIAN BISTOLFI, librettista per Ottorino Respighi e paroliere con Alessandro Cicognini, fu autore dal 1913 di diversi libri di fiabe pubblicati da Treves e Mondadori (Storielle di lucciole e di stelle, La cronaca impossibile di Caterino Tutù, L'avventurissima e Un po' di destino). Tra il 1920 e il 1922 diresse una decina di film e, con l'avvento del sonoro, si dedicò alla sceneggiatura fino al 1950, soprattutto con Alessandro Blasetti, Guido Brignone e Carlo Campogalliani.
