NOTE - ONLY THE BOOKS REWRITTEN FOR GRADE SCHOOL STUDENTS CAME WITH THE ILLUSTRATIONS. NOTE - THERE WERE 2 DIFFERENT UK PUBLISHER'S THAT MADE THE "REWRITTEN" BOOKS FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN IN THE U.K. IN THE 1970s/1980s - OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS AND BULLS-EYE/HUTCHINSON/STANELY THORNES (THE OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS BOOKS ARE MUCH MUCH RARER THAN THE BULLS-EYE/HUTCHINSON EDITIONS). WHILE THESE BOOKS ARE TRUELY SCARCE THEY (A) ARE VERY HARD TO FIND WITHOUT ANY LIBRARY MARKINGS, AND (B) ARE VERY HARD TO FIND AS FIRST PRINTINGS. Book has tiny nick loss at bottom right spine tip, almost no wear to left/right on spine, no vertical spine crease, no creased page corners, no spine lean, no front cover creasing, almost no edge wear, no foxing to pages or endpapers or outer page edges, no age darkening/dust soiling to outer page edges, former owner's name blacked out on first pre-title page otherwise no former owner's markings or used book store stamps inside, rear cover is clean - no dust soiling and no color transfer, spine sun fading. Overall a VG+ book of an Ian Fleming/James Bond rare "rewritten" first printing book. I have a number of other U.S. and U.K. Ian Fleming James Bond 1st printing hardcover appearances up for sale.…
