A fascinating collection of writings from Ambroise Pare, a French barber-surgeon who is considered one of the fathers of surgery and modern forensic pathology, as well a pioneer in battlefield medicine, anatomy, and inventor of medical equipment - such as the "Bec de Corbeau" a precursor to the modern day hemostats. The condition of the book is Very Good (binding tight despite the size; little to no shelf wear; little to no interior damage; some pages remain uncut towards the back of the book; the titling on the spine has some light fading, notably a the tail of the spine).
