Calvert for Secret Services, in 1756 £900 to Hugh Wallacefor troops in North Carolina, or £7,317 to Lord Rollo Governor of Island of Dominica 1761-2, £100 to King's Regiment New York 1778, or £22,000 paid to His Serene Highness, Prince Frederick of Orange for raising Dutch Troops in 1795, or Capt. Cambell £3,417. 9s 1d of the Royal American Regiment for several Nations of (Red) Indians near Detroit & onija. £68 to Francis Burrows Surgeon at Newcastle Hospital. £1,890. 18s to Peter Clarke of Ferrit to convey to St. Christopher's and pay of Negro slaves for a secret expedition. List of over 50 people owing money, i.e Sir Lawrence Cox now a bankrupt owing £5,475 + for provisions to forces in North & South Carolina, Georgia & East Florida, or £500 owed by Maj. Duncan Quartermaster -general Port Ferrajo 1787-8 now address unknown. Or £23,445. 14s 1d owed by Edmund Lincoin Governor of St. Vincents 1784-1787, but died there insolvent in 1786. and so much more includes lots of names, dates & countries. Seems to cover dates from 1750's to 1805. From a large collection of ex Middle Temple HOC books, I purchased at a small uncatalogued auction about 35 years ago, Most books sold at the time, some books kept for myself and split about 15 years ago.
