A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1955, this octavo has soft yellow cloth-covered boards with an adventurous scene from the book decorating the front cover, lettering & image of the parrot to spine. In2727 pages with a pen-and-ink frontispiece & internal illustrations with splashes of color by artist Stuart Tresilian. Condition is VG-: generally quite clean inside with a random smudge or spot, former owner's name in red pen to ffep, else unmarked. Foxing to top outside page edges only, light soil to all outside edges. The unclipped DJ is VG+: colorful & bright, with just a tad of rubbing to extremities; nicely protected in clear mylar cover Free!
