Erste Ausgabe des epischen Gedichts in Alexandrinern über den sächsischen Prinzenraub, bei dem der Ritter Kunz von Kauffungen im Juli 1455 zwei Söhne des Kurfürsten Friedrich II. von Sachsen entführte. Doch wurde eins der Prinzlein von dem wackeren Köhler Georg Schmidt befreit, und die Entführer wurden vom Köhler verhauen. Der Mediziner u. Dichter Daniel Wilhelm Triller (1695-1782) war (oder hielt sich für) ein(en) Nachfahre(n) des Köhlers. Triller konnte auf verschiedene Dramen und Dichtungen als Quellen zum Prinzenraub zurückgreifen u. kannte sich zudem in der historischen Materie sehr gut aus. Er ergänzte den Stoff noch eigenmächtig um schwarze Reiter, unheimliche Zauberer, Schutzgeister u. anderes magisches Zubehör, sowie um eine Ode über den Prinzenraub, und versah sein Werk mit umfangreichen Anmerkungen. Seine Dichtung (er war ein eifriger Brockesist) streift nicht selten den Bereich des unfreiwillig Komischen u. wurde von der zeitgenössischen Kritik gehörig gezaust (so empfahl ihm eine Zeitung, "seinen Kiel zu zerstampfen und seine Leier dem Aesculap zu weihen" (ADB).
