Moderate wear to extremities with scuffing to corners and edges. Water dampness staining to front board at bottom edge. Stain reaches 2" at the bottom edge. Chipped tail with loss. Dampness staining and discoloration permeates the rear board as well, especially at top edge. No dampness staining to textblock. Interior good and typically toned with minor instances of age stain and foxing. Free of known markings. Bookplate of George M. Mather on pastedown. Signed Blennerhassett New York binding. Binding remains intact. Please see photos. Two Volumes in One of American Poet John Trumbell (1750-1831). Includes every canto from McFingal, a mock epic poem portraying a Scottish Loyalist and his Whig opponent Honorious, evidently a portrait of John Adams.
