No Binding. Condition: Near Fine. First Thus. An engaging short version of Tchaikovsky's balletic masterpiece, containing many of the ballet's most beloved themes, suitable for orchestras of modest forces (student orchestra, theatre orchestra, etc.). The arrangement and specific instrumentation was devised by L. Atovmian. INSTRUMENTATION: flute, oboe, 2 clarinets, 2 trumpets, trombone, percussion, accordion, piano-conductor, violin I (possible conductor], violin II, viola cello, and contrabass. A smaller ensemble presentation is also possible, as suggested by the arranger: "possible minimal performance of the composition with 5 instruments: c/tpt/pf/vn/vc". The 35-page piano-conductor score is not a "full score" as such, consisting only of the piano part and an ensemble cue line designating instruments. The violin I part also contains the cue lines. All other parts are present, though there are not duplicate copies for the strings. CONDITION: The outer folder shows some light shelf-wear, with a tiny water-stain at the "spine" top and a small bump/scuff/wrinkle/tear on its bottom edge (both visible in the accompanying scan image). The parts are pristine, save for the flute part which, being on top, caught a faint ghost of the cover's tiny water-stain and bump/scuff/wrinkle/tear. This attractive set is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board. NOTE: multiple score orders, depending on weight, may qualify for a generous shipping charge reduction.
