Hardcover no dust jacket. Publishers binding of grey cloth with gilt decoration and titles in black to front board and gilt titles to spine.Binding in good condition with small split to top front side of spine, a small strip of sunning to bottom of front board and rubbing to tips of boards and top & tail of spine. Inside text block has separated from spine but still holding to boards with an 8 page section (still together) loose but present. All pages and plates with top edge gilt in excellent clean and bright condition although there is a little foxing to fore edge. An overall good copy of this very scarce book on the 100 most important species of medicinal plants in Japan from the author of the List of Plants collected in Mt. Hakusan and its Vicinities.
