Seller: The Bark of the Beech Tree, Depoe Bay, OR, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Robert L. Doremus (illustrator). Book Club Edition. Published very shortly after the trade edition, this is the Junior Literary Guild edition of this scarce and highly regarded historical novel for young readers, set in 1814. There are four full page illustrations. Name on endpaper, a hint of yellowing to edges, but a very good copy indeed in a ragged, good plus dust jacket, worn at edges and folds with deep chips and small loss and browned inside surface. But it's more or less complete and in one piece and unclipped ($2.50).
