George's papers begin in 1702 and end in 1733 and include the War of the Spanish Succession, the anti-Jacobite campaigns and his time as First Lord of the Admiralty. John's begin in 1727 and continues to 1755, the papers reveal much of the War of the Austria Succession and actions against the Young Pretender in 1745. lxxxv+265+16pp. Quarter bound in blue cloth with white cloth decorated by a gilt emblem to remainder. Spine cloth faded and some soiling to the cream cloth. Light yellowing to various pages. Text-block and pages in very good order.
