Mass Market Paperback. Condition: Good. McLoughlin, Denis (illustrator). First Edition. Contains 'Backfire' by Mahannah, 'The Blue Sweetheart' by Goodis, 'Life can be Horrible' by Rice, 'Attack' by Collins, 'Payoff' by Kane, 'Be My Guest' by Turner, 'Assault' by Colby, 'Mugger Murder' by Deming, 'Kid Kill' by Hunter and 'Crime and Punishment' by Kole. The front cover has a one inch by half inch piece missing from the bottom right corner. Small chip at the base of the spine which has some reading creasing. The back cover has a two inch crease to the top left corner, a one inch patch of surface tearing, a small nick to the bottom edge and some brown spotting. A little brown spotting to the insides of the covers, small chips to the edges of the first few pages and some browning to the pages which are otherwise clean and unmarked. Cover art is uncredited. Each story has an introductory illustration by Denis McLoughlin. Postage charge will be reduced by £1.50 when the order is processed.

Jones), & five short stories ("Dixieland Dirge", Charles Beckman, jr.; "Trapped", Milton Lesser; "End of Night", Bryce Walton; "Kill Fever", Don Sontup; "I Killed Jeannie", Evan Hunter). Spine has slight forward lean but otherwise remains uncreased, stapled bind remains sturdy and intact; text is very good throughout; minor rubbing, edgewear to wraps.
