Hardcover. Condition: Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 5 3/4 inches x 9 1/8 in., viii, pp. [9]-624. Dark green cloth with gilt-lettered titling on the spine, embossed decorations on spine and covers. The endpapers and pages show some tanning, or brown spotting (foxing), pp. 591-594 show some paper chipped out of the lower blank page margins, upper page corners of pp. 565-624 show a bump with light crease to the paper. From the collection of Cleveland, Ohio based book collector, William G. Mather (1857-1951), with his bookplate on the front paste-down endpaper. A near fine, well-preserved copy.
