Condition: Fair. 1992 first edition thus, Gateway Press (Baltimore, Maryland), 6 1/4 x 9 1/4 inches tall burgundy cloth hardcover, no dust jacket (as issued), gilt lettering to front cover and spine, illustrated with black-and-white photographs, thoroughly indexed, xviii, 142 pp. Slight soiling, rubbing and edgewear to covers, with very slight shadow to spine where a label was removed. Former library copy, with inkstain and bookplate to front pastedown, abrasions to upper margin of blank front free-endpaper where a label was removed and a red withdrawn stamp to upper margin of title page as the only indications of this. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce genealogy and family history. ~SP01~ [1.5P] Looks at the ancestry of, and traces the descendants of, John and Sarah (Pierson) Twitchell, married in Derby, Connecticut in 1698 or 1699. It is a partial update of the genealogy of the Twitchell family complied by Ralph Emerson Twitchell in 1929.
