Draft script for an unproduced film, seen here under two titles: "Once Upon a Poor Boy" and "Flavor Tale" (the latter in manuscript ink on the title page). A modern take on "Cinderella," about an unpopular African-American teenager who is helped out by his "Funky Freshfather," a magical being sent to help the boy get ready for the school formal. Screenwriter Tyger Williams wrote the screenplay for "Menace 2 Society" (1993), and continues to write prolifically for television. Self wrappers. Title page present, undated, with credit for Williams. 114 leaves, with last page of text numbered 113. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, bound with two gold brads.
