Unlike display type, book lettering should not demand attention, and differences between book faces can be subtle. Monotype compares settings of the same text page in 30 different book faces, with a brief discussion of the merits and characteristics of each.

First edition of 300 copies printed for The Monotype Conference 1992. The newly drawn typeface for 1992 drew its inspiration from types used in Spain to create new text types of economical yet highly readable proportions, and with particularly handsome large display sizes , specifically to meet the requirements of digital typography.

(library copy; binding damaged (hinges severely split, but holding); label of the North-East Essex Technical College & School of Art of pastedown; a few library stamps throughout; some leaves frayed; leaves bolted together) - heavy book, additional postage required. Not entirely complete ("The value of this loose-leaf book depends on your willingness to keep it up-to-date"), but still with hundreds of specimens.
