Very light soiling to blue cloth boards with silver and red art deco design. Light age toning to page edges. Pages are otherwise clean, bright, and unmarked. Binding is square and tight. Organized into 16 sections, by typeface, this is a gorgeous, wonderully designed book. Mostly done in orange and black colors (and in general, black type), the book nevertheless surprises with occasion splashes of color (for instance, violet, yellow, green, blue, pale blue, etc) making this feel more like an art object than a simple typeface book. There's an art deco feel to the book cover but the chapters inside, while artfully presented, mostly reference examples from advertising and various kinds of printing (like newspaper printing).
