Condition: Fine. 26 cm one-sided "certificate" states that Allen, Karen, Jeff & Greg lived through Edmonton's record cold spell Jan. 7 - Feb.1, 1969. Names of children handwritten. B&w drawings of igloo, snowman, car encased in ice, St. Bernard with keg of brandy, falling pedestrians, snow shovelers, and other very cold Edmontonians who survived the city's 26-day cold spell in '69. Cartoonist Edd Uluschak of the Journal created this certificate with high and low temperatures in Fahrenheit at bottom. Yikes! Low of -39 on Jan. 30.
