Of its six chapters, the first is about Napoleon; the second discusses the lives of various kings; the third chapter is on the wealth of kings (with a special focus on Sultan Abdulhamid's estate and inheritance); the fourth chapter is on queens and kings in exile; the fifth chapter consists of brief anecdotes from the lives of royalty and important marriages, but also includes a list of celebrities and presidents who are, supposedly, as famous as kings in the modern world: Farouk of Egypt, Stalin, Hitler, Roosevelt, Churchill, Gandhi, Charlie Chaplin, George Bernard Shaw, and Henry Ford. The final chapter describes the end of monarchies, containing and a short piece about the situation of Germany. Black and white photograph illustrations show Charles I of Austria with his son Otto, a family portrait of Nicolas II of Russia, and King Edward VIII of the Great Britain with his wife.
