The director of the Swedish East India Company, Niclas Sahlgren, died in 1776, and left 4.159.498 dalers in silver coins according to the testament from 1772, of which 150.000 dalers became the first contribution for the Sahlgrenska hospital in Gothenburg. Du Val-Pyrau also wrote an eulogy to another great Swedish industrialist, Jonas Alströmer, in 1784. Magnus Laurentii Ståhl (1761-1843) was headmaster in Ystad and Kristianstad, professor och historiographer of the royal orders.
