Considers the life and work of renown Belgian dancer and choreographer Marguerite Acarin, "Akarova" (1904-1999). With essays by Daniel Dobbels, Giovanni Lista, Caroline Mierop, Annette Neve, and Fabrice van de Kerckhove. Includes many illustrations of Akarova in costume, as well as sets, designs, programs, memorabilia, etc. A terrific monograph of "the Belgian Isadora Duncan," and someone you may not know. G+ (DJ has substantial wear along edges, esp. at head of spine and one front corner, and is missing some small pieces; otherwise good.).
