Published by Van Noy Interstate Co? Circa 1920s-30s, 1920
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Probably ca 1920s-1930s, based on the automobiles, clothing, and a photo of the Breakers Hotel. Complete deck of 53 silver edged cards, each with a different black and white photograph of a Florida (and two of Havana, Cuba) scene, with a color reverse side depicting the State Seal bordered by orange blossoms, still in the original two part blue box, title in silver lettering, presumably issued by the Van Noy Interstate Company (based on a museum's attribution of the same deck) . Box is near fine, with several faint drop marks on lettered side, cards are fine, just starting to lightly age yellow, out of order, but otherwise sharp, clean and unmarked. Nice photographic tour of Florida at the dawn of the tourism age, with two cards showing steam locomotives of the Florida East Coast Railway, another an interior shot of the recreation car, and one showing the passenger cars. Travel; tourism; ephemera.
