The back cover features short samples of five other songs. Kate Vannah was an American poet and composer, she spoke to *The Writer* in 1902 about her work, "It is hard to say just how I write. I will read a little poem, perhaps, and then the melody comes, and, do you know, that particular melody is always thereafter connected with that poem. I might put the poem aside and not look at it again for a dozen years, but when I did, that same melody would leap into my mind at once." Whatever her process, it proved successful; as *The Writer* states in the same article, "Of her music, more is sold today than that of any other woman composer in the United States, or of any man composer excepting De Koven." *OCLC* locates only two holdings of this song.
