A small chip missing from the front upper corner of the cover (less than 1 cm) and some general wear, but still a very good copy of this second (enlarged) edition of a classic book on golf.

Blue-green paper boards with a colorful mounted illustration on each board. With full-page black and white photographs of golfers. Publisher's ads illustrated as well. Price of 1'- net on the front board. Mild soiling to the boards, a crack to the front hinge but the binding remains secure.

Decorative Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Second Edition Revised. Illustrated. 119 pages. Substantially enlarged from the 87 page first edition of 1927. Interesting to note that Donovan & Murdoch do not list this edition in cloth, only in wrappers. Slight toning to pages else a clean copy, no former owner name or bookplate, no notations, underlining, soiling, creases, folds, tears, etc. Beautiful copy. Covers protected in mylar. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

Condition: Very good. First edition. Hardcover. Very good condition (no dust jacket). Top, bottom of spine, corners slightly rubbed. Internally clean and tight. Red binding variant.

Cover corners and upper spine paper worn. Former owner's name upper pastedown. Several light thumb/finger marks to the early page edges, otherwise no internal markings, underlining, notations, etc. that often appear in this early instructional by some of the day's greatest golfers. Covers protected in mylar. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Originally done in 1927, this is the (unstated) revised and enlarged second edition. Some rubbing to back cover. A bookplate has been removed from the front paste-down, leaving some residue.
