Head/tail to the spine a little 'turned' and fading, but overall VG. In the original publisher's pictorial dust-jacket. The dust-jacket has some small nicks/loss to the head/tail of the s…pine and the rear cover has a triangular sliver of loss to the top inner corner near the spine, and nicks with loss to the other 3 corners, but the d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks near Very Good - particularly the front cover which features a lovely 'Stead' illustration of Biggles and (? ) Ginger. Some light toning to the page fore-edges. Internally some pale foxing (pale yellowy spotting) mainly to the front endpapers/ prelims and rear endpapers, o/w NO Inscriptions or Marks. A Very Clean, Tight and Bright copy. 190 pages. Black and white illustrations to the text - but no indication of which artist(s). I assume the ones in the Biggles story are by Stead but I can't authenticate that. The Book has 11 Short Stories by the following authors = Captain W. E. Johns, Geoffrey Trease, Garry Hogg, Leslie Morley, Michael Poole, Jeffery Farnol, Eric Leyland, Leonard Gribble, Percy M. Westerman, Gundy Hadath and "Taffrail".
