[.] La vendetta pubblica e' un'espressione che sta comunemente in bocca di tutti, e ch'e' adoperata da tanti valorosi scrittori, e dalle stesse leggi: potra' dirsi che con un si' autorevole consenso si sia attribuita una vera improbita' di sentimenti all'intero corpo dello stato?
