Printed in B&W. 4 illustrations throughout and 22 fold-out maps in the rear. 192 pages. Title page dated 1941. Previous owner's name written in top corner on first page. A very nice copy. This volume comes from the Castles and Forts collection of Chris Sterling, a longtime professor at George Washington University. Binding is square and secure. Includes four b/w photos attached throughout. Covers slightly yellowed around the margins and corners are curled from light reading.

Pages are otherwise clean and unmarked, all maps intact. Black cloth boards are lightly rubbed. Scarce.
