Black cloth binding, silver lettering, 413 pages, illustrations/ photographs, the book is in very good condition with some minor bumping to the edges and corners of the boards, plus some minor browning to the outside page edges. There is also the name of a previous owner (the revered Oxford scholar Anthony Cockshut) written in pencil to the front free end paper. The dust jacket is good with some minor chipping/ creasing to the edges plus a somewhat circular price clipping.
