Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition First Printing. One of 52 books by this popular mid-20th-century romance writer (1890-1958), promoted as "sparkling romances of the modern girl" in the 1920s-1930s. This one concerns a young girl bound & determined to marry a "middle-aged millionaire,''…& how she brazenly pursues him.Unlike some of her other novels, this one was never made into a movie. In 248 pages, list of other titles in rear & to back DJ flap/reverse of DJ itself; silhouette illustration to title page. A FIRST EDITION, first printing, from 1932, this hardcover has bright orange cloth-covered boards lettered in black to spine/in orange inside a black title box to front cover. Condition is VG: slight exterior soil , including a mild smudge to front board & discoloration to outside edges of text block. Interior is very clean & unmarked save for former owner's name & date (1932) inside front cover. Binding strong with mild cocking. Pages show age-appropriate tanning. The unclipped DJ is downgraded to Fair because it is missing the lower third of the spine; else, minor rubbing & light soil; protected by previous owner in nonreflective mylar cover.
