Hardcover, bound in brown cloth titled in gilt within a decorative frame in blind on the front cover, with the title and decorations in gilt on the spine. The head & tail of the spine are chipped. There are stains to the bottom of the front & rear cover and the number "5" is written in black felt above the title. vi, [ii] & 68 pages, with textual illustrations and musical notations. The rear hinge is cracked and the spine pulling away from the text block. There is a tear to the front edges of of a few pages with a tear to the bottom of one page as well as chipping to the front edge of one leaf. Good. First edition.
