Moderate wear, tear and loss to edges and corners, with staining and soiling to DJ. Heavy tanning to spine and edges.

Letter is addressed to one Ashley Gibson, Esquire: '. I expect to be in town on August 15th. I will write to you again when I am there . But I am afraid I am… a very unsuitable subject for a Bookman Gallery article, and I hope you will forgive me if I am not of much assistance to you .' Slight horizontal crease to midsection; slight browning to edges; slight stains and rubbing to envelope; else a very legible specimen. Meynell, daughter of poet-essayist Alice Meynell and author-journalist Wilfred Meynell; notable for her 1929 memoir of her mother.
