First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very good. First Printing [Stated]. The format is approximately 6.25 inches by 6.25 inches. Unpaginated. Illustrations (some in color) Decorative cover with sticker stating "Includes a CD and lyrics". Composed by Fitzpatrick/Deutsch. Arranged by Vitamin C. Performed by Vitamin C. Colleen Ann Fitzpatrick (born July 20, 1969), known professionally as Vitamin C, is an American record executive, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. She began her career as a baby and child actress, appearing in John Waters' film Hairspray, and continued to appear in minor roles in films before launching a music career with the alternative rock band Eve's Plum in 1991. In 1999, under the stage name Vitamin C, Fitzpatrick embarked on a solo career, releasing her eponymous debut album Vitamin C, which was certified Platinum by the RIAA. Singles from the record include "Graduation (Friends Forever)" and the Top 20 single "Smile". Her second album, More (2001) spawned the singles "As Long as You're Loving Me" and "The Itch". She appeared in the horror film Dracula 2000, and made cameo appearances in Get Over It and Scary Movie 2. She also appeared as a panelist on the spoof talent series The WB's Superstar USA in 2004. She was ranked No. 76 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2001. In 2006, Fitzpatrick created a production company. Josh Deutsch is an American jazz musician and composer. He is a founding member of the Queens Jazz Overground, leads the Josh Deutsch Quintet, and is a member of the Terraza Big Band. Deutsch is also an educator as well as mentoring at the Young Composers and Improvisors Workshop. No song in recent memory has captured the imagination of American youth as has GRADUATION (FRIENDS FOREVER) by pop star Vitamin C. Not only a success on the record charts, the hundreds of requests from high schools across the country asking for permission to play the song at commencement exercises are evidence of the incredible and enduring popularity of this song. This beautiful gift book contains the lyrics to GRADUATION (FRIENDS FOREVER) as well as pages on which students can have their friends sign as a special memory book. The CD was produced under license from Elektra Entertainment Group by Warner-Tamerlane Publ. Corp, BMI and is a Warner Special Product OPCD-7534 and has a run time of 5 minutes and forty seconds. "Graduation (Friends Forever)" (also titled "Friends Forever (Graduation)") is a song by American pop singer Vitamin C, released as the third single from her self-titled debut studio album (1999) and is the final song on the record. Vitamin C wrote the song as a response to how many friends drift apart soon after graduation from high school. Josh Deutsch co-wrote the song with her and also produced the track alongside Garry Hughes. The song is partly orchestrated, featuring a string arrangement based on Pachelbel's Canon in D and a vocal appearance from the NYC All-City Chorus. One version of the song contains student interviews from the Class of 2000 of Lyndhurst High School in New Jersey. Following its release in March 2000, "Graduation" charted in several countries. It reached the top 10 in Canada and Ireland and peaked at number two in Australia, where the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) awarded the song a platinum sales certification. In the United States, it reached number 38 on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming Vitamin C's second top-50 hit on this chart. The music video, directed by Gregory Dark, features Vitamin C in a school building while a blonde girl attempts to speak with her crush before the end of the day. The song was sampled in the 2019 song "Graduation" by Benny Blanco and Juice Wrld. A new version of the song, titled "Graduation 2020 (Worst Year Ever)", was recorded in 2020 as a reflection on the year with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic. This version, created by Vizzy Hard Seltzer and Canadian advertising agency Rethink Communications, contains newly recorded lyrics from Vitamin C, who donated her appearance fee to several charitable organizations. The song is based on Pachelbel's Canon in D and includes vocals from the NYC All-City Chorus. The music video for "Graduation (Friends Forever)" was directed by Gregory Dark. It features Vitamin C performing in a high school with various scenes interspersed throughout. Several of these clips feature a blonde girl struggling to talk to her crush, which she manages to accomplish before the final school day ends. During the video, Vitamin C dances with cheerleaders, sings with a choir, and watches the girl as she meets up with her crush by his locker. At the end of the video, the students leave the school while the singer stands motionless on the front steps. Once they are gone, she walks back into the empty building.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Ralph Johnson, Ph.D., had been a drummer, vocalist, and percussionist with Earth, Wind & Fire since 1972, with whom his more notable recordings include "That's the Way of the World" and the Beatles' "Got to Get You into My Life." His highly spirited playing style is totally captured on their first live recording for CBS, Gratitude. There's no doubt his drumming is deeply rooted in R&B - Ralph has written for and/or produced such artists as the Whispers, the Temptations, Les McCann, Howard Hewett, Keyshia Cole, Philip Bailey, EW&F, and hip-hop giant Jay-Z. With the other two founding members of the band, Philip Bailey and Verdine White, Ralph continues to tour the world and bring much joy to those who have embraced the music of Earth, Wind & Fire." - from the rear outer cover. Pamphlet. Singleton leaf folded once to make a four-page brochure measuring 7x5 inches, first or "cover" page is tinted a nice green titled in white and black. Pages 2, 3 are densely printed in Japanese characters [only]. Last page bears titles and lyrics for the two featured songs in English. Condition: marginal crimping from being stored with smaller-size items, faint smudges to terminal leaf. A good exemplar, suitable for framing. Victor S Records no. S-214. Text offers no English-language background on the "Hungry Raccoon" except that from several transliterated Japanese words it's clear the song is Japanese. Did Kitt tour Japan and perform this? dunno. Text does credit two bands behind Kitt: "A) Joe Reisman's Orch. & Chorus - B) w. Henri Rene's Orch." Best part of our offering is the complete seven stanzas of "Daddy" which we had never before been able to parse. Here's the final one, perhaps the cleverist: "There was a dame / That a foot ball game / Made long for the strong and a gladdy - But I never dream of making the team / 'Cause my heart belongs to daddy.".

Considered the foremost English operatic, oratorio and ballad tenor vocalist of the mid Victorian era, John Sims Reeves (1821-1900) received his early music education from his father who was a bass soloist in the Royal Artillery Band. He was appointed organist and choirmaster of North Gray church at the age of 14. He trained under Thomas Simpson Cooke, first as a baritone and then a tenor, while also learning to play several instruments.

She wonders whether the Maitlands have 'set me down by this time as the most illmannered and ungratefull of all beings', or if they know what she has been doing since they sent her 'the information about Liverpool'. After the evening they spent together she 'had the children home, your kind information came and I discussed the matter with Harry'. She then had to leave for Germany 'where I had indeed a delightful Time!' She will recount how the Queen and King of Prussia and the Crown princess received her in private audiences when they meet again. 'Then I returned home only to start again for Nottingham and then I wound up by behaving like an idiot; catching cold and havingg such an attack of Influenza, as I do not recollect to have had in this state of my existence, certainly'. She has only just emerged from the 'strictest privacy of my bedchamber'.
