E io, purtroppo, non gli ho mai chiesto nulla, anche perché è morto quando avevo solo ventisei anni". Un figlio mette insieme quel poco che ha saputo dell'esperienza del padre nei campi di sterminio nazisti. Schulim (1903 - 1974) nato in Galizia, emigrato dapprima in Palestina, rientrò in Italia nel 1922 e fu assunto come tipografo alla Tipografia Giuntina. Aveva moglie e figlia quando i nazisti lo arrestarono a Sondrio, perché ebreo, mentre cercava di rifugiarsi in Svizzera. Moglie e figlia furono uccise, lui riuscì a salvarsi perché i nazisti, viste le sue capacità, momentaneamente lo graziarono. Liberato dalla prigionia, tornò in Italia, si risposò ed ebbe, nel 1948, Daniel; come tipografo riuscì ad acquistare la tipografia per cui aveva lavorato che fu chiamata "La Giuntina". Il prezzo del libro è comprensivo delle spese di confezionamento e spedizione mediante raccomandata tracciabile.
