Neat eighteenth century transcription of part of Voorda's Dictata ad ius Hodiernum (lectures given by him between 1744 and 1770 at the University of Utrecht). See Hewett, Jacobus Voorda, 2005; vol.I, p. xxiii,xxvi,xli, with discussion of this manuscript (=Ms. de Smidt). Several copies of student notes of Voorda's lectures have survived. This is Volume III (leaves numbered 268 to 521) of an unidentified set. Hewett on this copy: p. xxvi: "There is a conspicuous absence of marginal notes in de S. and the marginal notes and citations of the autograph are usually incorporated in the text, thus arguing a late date for this Ms.".
