Hardback. Condition: Good. The Anglosphere refers to a community of English-speaking states, nations, and societies centered on Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, which has profoundly influenced the direction of world history and fascinated countless observers. This book argues that the origins of the Anglosphere are racial. Drawing on theories of collective identity-formation and framing, the book develops a new framework for analyzing foreign policy, which it then evaluates in case studies related to fin-de-si cle imperialism (1894-1903), the ill-fated Pacific Pact (1950-1), the Suez crisis (1956), the Vietnam escalation (1964-5), and the run-up to the Iraq war (2002-3). Each case study highlights the contestations over state and empire, race and nation, and liberal internationalism and anti-Americanism, taking into consideration how they shaped international conflict and cooperation. In reconstructing the history of the Anglosphere, the book engages directly with the most recent debates in international relations scholarship and American foreign policy.…

Paperback. Condition: New. The contemporary radical Right is not merely a series of nationalist projects but a global phenomenon. This book shows how radical conservative thinkers have developed long-term counter-hegemonic strategies that challenge prevailing social and political orders both nationally and internationally. At the heart of this ideological project is a critique of liberal globalisation that seeks to mobilise transversal alliances against a common enemy: the 'New Class' of global managerial elites who are accused of undermining national sovereignty, traditional values, and cultures. 'World of the Right' argues that while the radical Right is far from a unified political movement, its calls for sovereignty, civilisational orders, and multipolarity enable complex, strategic convergences with illiberal states such as China and Russia, as well as states and people in the Global South. The potential consequences for the future of the liberal world order are profound and wide-ranging.…

Paperback. Condition: New. Beyond Five Eyes Intelligence takes readers inside one of the world's most secretive networks, revealing how it operates and why it matters for global politics - and for the future of democracy. Drawing on declassified archives and whistleblower testimony, Hager Ben Jaffel and Srdjan Vucetic debunk three myths about the Five Eyes: that it is a closed alliance of five nations, that it operates under meaningful democratic oversight, and that it serves only the political agendas of national leaders. They uncover a strikingly different reality. No longer confined to its founding members, Five Eyes collaboration reaches beyond intelligence and counterespionage to counterterrorism, cybersecurity, and other areas. Accompanying this new political configuration is a growing role of technology corporations and their unchecked powers.Beyond Five Eyes Intelligence exposes how this alliance embeds its own politics, shaped by the manifold social relations that structure international politics - from imperial entanglements and bureaucratic feuding to clashes with rival governments and transnational movements. The network emerges not as a relic of Cold War espionage but as a formidable, enduring, and deeply influential force shaping the modern world.…
