Includes 5 of the 6 stories in the September 1953 US edition and has the same cover art by Ken Fagg. The Leslie Perri story is missing. Contains A Case of Conscience by Blish (illustrated by Emsh), Thy Rocks and Rills by Gilbert (illustrated by Beecham), The Trouble with Bubbles by Dick (illustrated by Eberle), Planet of Dreams by McKimmey (illustrated by Orban), and The Romantic Analogue by Skupeldyckle (illustrated by Emsh). The spine is a little worn with a one inch tear at the bottom. There is light edge and surface wear to the covers. Light page browning but the pages are otherwise unmarked. Small surface chip at the base of the spine which has some edge rubbing and surface wear and a one inch closed tear at the top next to the front cover. Pages browned with some chipping to the corners but otherwise clean and unmarked. Contains 'The World She Wanted' by Dick, 'Intermission Time' by Jones, 'She Called me Frankie' by Ottum, 'Lifework' by Abernathy, 'The Mud Puppy' by Bailey (Berryman), 'Time Goes to Now' by Dye, book reviews by Lowndes (the editor) and an article on myths and legends by de Camp.

Ownership signature of Leonard Harrison Matthews FRS (1901Ğ1986) a British zoologist, especially known for his research and writings on marine mammals. He served as scientific director of the Zoological Society of London from 1951 to 1966. No date, [1842]. Complete with frontispiece and six plates. Presentation from the author on the verso front endpaper (without on signature), "with the author's compliments". Slight wear at spine, inner hinge slightly cracked at frontispiece (internal hinges reinforced) overall slight used, near very good. Signedes.
