He served as scientific director of the Zoological Society of London from 1951 to 1966. No date, [1842]. Complete with frontispiece and six plates. Presentation from the author on the verso front endpaper (without on signature), "with the author's compliments". Slight wear at spine, inner hinge slightly cracked at frontispiece (internal hinges reinforced) overall slight used, near very good. Signedes.
