In the publisher's original cloth binding.A limited edition of this work, being number ninety-three of two hundred and five numbered copies.Born in Od…essa, William Walcot was a Scottish architect, graphic artist and etcher, best known for his Art Nouveau work in Moscow. In the 1920s and 1930s, he concentrated on graphic art and was praised as 'the best architectural draftsman' in London.Illustrated throughout with 65 reproductions of his etchings and watercolour of which there are thirty-five full plates, including with six colour plates, including a colour frontispiece. Collated, complete.With an introduction from British architect and garden designed Sir Reginald Blomfield. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. The odd slight mark to endpapers. The odd minor handling mark and one or two spots of damp staining to front board. Slight fading to perimeters and spine.
